Skin tags are extremely common small growths of soft skin, typically appearing on the eyelids, neck, armpits, or anywhere skin touches skin. While they are harmless, they can be unsightly or irritating when they rub against clothing.
If you have skin tags that you’d like removed, there are several options available. They can be frozen with liquid nitrogen or burned off with an electric current. However, the most common method I use is to simply surgically snip them off using a scalpel or surgical scissors. I apply a local anesthetic to numb the area, so the procedure is generally painless. If there is any bleeding, I’ll use a topical coagulant to stop it. You can rest assured that no scars are typically left after skin tag removal.
If you're bothered by skin tags and would like them removed, feel free to schedule a consultation, and I’ll guide you through the process.
